The documents, books and materials recovered and found in the Pakistani lair where Osama bin Laden hid until he was found and killed in 2011 by United States Navy SEALs have recently been declassified — and released to the public.

Well, most of them.

One such collection of documents recovered has remained covered, hidden and censored — so to speak — by the United States government and maybe for good reason.

The terrorist leader’s extensive library of smut.

That is, pornography.

Its discovery isn’t exactly “news” (it was covered way back in 2011 by ABC in the segment shown above) and was lampooned and highlighted by many a talking head. You may remember the Daily Show’s classic bit about the issue, which can be seen here.

While a case certainly doesn’t need to be make that the al-Qaeda mass murderer was hypocritical (or evil or deranged or radical or maniacal), many still argue that the truth is the truth, and that the evidence may prove more valuable to dealings with religious extremists now and in the future.

According to the Washington Post, some experts have pointed out that finding pornography on jihadists’ computers is commonplace, and that terrorist groups have even encoded secret documents with “erotica”.

Okay, screw it (no pun intended). Let’s make a short case for just how “full of it” the dead zealot really was.

This was from his 2002 “Letter to America”:

(2) The second thing we call you to, is to stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.

(a) We call you to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling’s, and trading with interest.

Purity, huh? Right. Right.

We’ll let the always honorable, elegant New York Post take this one away … here.
