The 56th Fighter Wing out of Luke Air Force Base have been pretty active showing off their new toys, these $100M+ F-35A Joint Strike Fighters. Their counterparts over at the 161st Air Refueling Wing, nicknamed the “Copperheads,” took some folks with cameras aboard their KC-135Rs to showcase the new jet:

The 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron, who also operates the F-35 albeit out of Nellis AFB in Nevada, also had a similar idea, with Nellis AFB’s public affairs posting this video recently:

The F-35 seems to have nearly crossed the developmental point of no return, with the possibility of a 450 aircraft order looming. But what could we buy if there was no Joint Strike Fighter? Stay tuned to Foxtrot Alpha next week as we try to answer that question.
